2025 Border Federal Credit Union Scholarship

Thank you for your interest in the Border FCU Scholarship Program! Since its inception, we have awarded nearly $220,000 to students in the communities we all share! Border FCU takes great pride in our community and the future of our youth! With that being said, Border FCU will be offering scholarships to the Class of 2025 High School graduates. Applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify:

Have an established membership account at Border Federal Credit Union at the time of application. Applicant must be the primary account holder. (A relative’s member account number is not applicable.)
Must be a Class of 2025 High School senior graduating from a school located within Border FCU’s service areas.
Must be scheduled to attend an accredited college/university in the upcoming Summer or Fall semester
GPA of 2.5 or above.

If the applicant is not a member of Border FCU, an account must be established at any Border FCU service location, or call (830) 774-2328 to schedule an appointment. The following documents are required to open the account:

Valid Texas ID
Social Security Card

The scholarship application deadline is April 25, 2025. Please fill out and submit the application below and mail or email a copy of the Acceptance Letter from the University/ College/Technical School you will be attending as well as your most recent official high school transcript. If by mail, send both your acceptance letter and official transcript to Border FCU, Attn: Marketing, 2211 N Bedell Ave., Del Rio, TX 78840, postmarked by no later than April 25, 2025. If by email, send these documents to marketing@borderfcu.com.

An application is considered complete once an online application is submitted and both required items to be mailed or e-mailed are received with a postmarked date no later than 04/25/25. Incomplete applications will not be considered for this scholarship award. The Scholarship Committee retains all rights to interpret or clarify the scholarship awarded to the students. Scholarship winners will have their funds directly deposited into your member share account at Border Federal Credit Union. Family members of Border Federal Credit Union employees, Board Members, and the Supervisory Committee are eligible to be considered for the scholarship award.
